Pricing
LinguMon does not charge a membership fee and does not sell a plan you have to keep up with. Tutors set their own hourly rates, you add credit to your balance, and each booking spends part of it.
Credit
Credit sits on your balance until you spend it. Larger top-ups add a bonus, which is the only discount on the site.

Credit does not expire. Refunds from a cancelled lesson return to the same balance rather than to your card.
Lessons
Three things decide the price, and all three are visible on the tutor's profile before you book.
Each tutor sets their own hourly rate. Experience, qualifications and demand all push it around, and the most expensive tutor is not automatically the right one for your level.
Lessons are priced from the hourly rate and charged for the length you pick, so a 30 minute lesson costs half of a 60 minute one with the same tutor.
Most tutors offer one trial lesson of 30 minutes at a reduced rate, one per tutor. It is a real lesson, priced lower so that trying someone new is not an expensive decision.
Cancel more than 12 hours before the start and the full price goes back to your credit balance. Cancel later than that and 50% comes back, because the tutor kept the hour free. If the tutor cancels, you are refunded in full every time.
The price you see on a tutor's profile is the price taken from your credit.

If you teach here, LinguMon keeps 20% of each lesson price and you keep the rest. That commission is how the site pays for itself: it covers bringing students to your profile, the booking system, payments and the video classroom. There is no listing fee and no charge for a better position in search.
Filter by language and budget, read a few profiles, and message anyone you are unsure about before spending anything.
